Respite Care

Respite Care gives family caregivers short-term, dependable relief while their loved one is safely supported at home or in the community. We understand that caregiving is a 24/7 responsibility, and even a few hours of reliable coverage can make a major difference.
During respite time, we do more than just "watch" the person. Staff engage them in routine activities, conversation, and simple community outings when appropriate, so the time is meaningful and comfortable for everyone. Caregivers can rest, go to work, attend appointments, or focus on other family needs, knowing we will follow existing routines and safety plans.
Because respite is often the first service families request, we take scheduling, communication, and documentation seriously. We work within approved New Jersey DDD and Medicaid authorizations so that the hours planned are the hours actually delivered, helping caregiving remain sustainable over the long term.
