Personal Goal Coaching

Personal Goal Coaching gives adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities one-on-one support to name what they really want, and then take concrete steps toward it. We start with simple, respectful conversations about interests, worries, and dreams-big or small.
Together, we break those ideas into doable goals, such as learning a new bus route, joining a community class, managing money more confidently, or preparing for work or volunteering. Each coaching session focuses on practice, encouragement, and problem-solving, not pressure.
We track progress in ways the person can see and feel, celebrating wins and adjusting the plan when life changes. Families and Support Coordinators gain a partner who keeps the person's own voice at the center, while staying mindful of DDD budgets and service options. Goal coaching becomes the thread that ties everyday support back to what the person wants for their life.
