Getting Started

Reaching out is the first step, and it’s an easy one. Call us or send a message, and we’ll listen — to your story, your questions, and what matters most to you and your family. From there, we’ll help you understand your options and figure out the right next step, whether that’s support services, help navigating the DDD system, or simply a conversation to get your bearings. There’s no pressure and no cost to ask.

Understanding the DDD System

New Jersey’s Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) can be a lot to take in. Here’s the plain-language version. DDD funds services and supports for eligible adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities — generally starting at age 21. To receive services, a person must be found eligible by the Division and enrolled in one of two Medicaid programs: the Supports Program or the Community Care Program. From there, a Support Coordinator helps build an Individualized Service Plan (NJISP), and providers deliver the services in the plan. We can help you understand where you are in that process and what comes next.

Family & Caregiver Support

Families and caregivers are at the heart of this work, and you deserve support too. We communicate clearly, keep you informed, and treat you as a partner in planning — because no one knows your loved one better than you do. Whether you’re just beginning or have been navigating the system for years, we’re here to make it feel more manageable.
